By now most of you have heard Tim Gunn’s admission that he hasn’t had sex in almost three decades as it has become fodder for most of the talk shows around the media world, with just about every type of so-called expert and idiot waying in on the pros and cons of such a thing.
And thankfully I’m one of those idiots that’s about to way into that subject. I know, you’re just chomping at the bit in anticipation.
And while I’m sure most of you are waiting for me to crack some nonsensical joke upon the subject, I say good for Tim Gunn. I can’t imagine (nor do I want too) what I could of accomplished in the last thirty years if I wasn’t constantly chasing sex in one form or another and from as many avenues (meaning with the fairer sex) as possible. Does that mean that I would go back in time and make the same choice as him? Absolutely not. But if Gunn is as happy and fulfilled in that choice then who are we to judge. I’m sure it wasn’t an easy choice for him to make or to say on national TV. Especially in a world (and we have to admit a sexual preference where males seem to be in over drive) that is over sexed at times and yet suppressed with a strange neo-puritan way of thinking. Particularly in the United States.
Well, I’m off. To seek another sexual tryst with my beautiful wife.
So, until next time…

There you have it. The entire list. Some you know, but I’m betting that most you of don’t. I have feeling that most of the audience for the Oscars doesn’t really care about best Foreign Film or Best Editor. But hey, what do I know.
Looking at the list, and surprise, surprise no Leo DiCaprio. Snubbed it seems once again by the academy. I don’t know what he did so long ago to raise the irk of those that pick who get’s that little golden phallicsqe statue, but whatever it was I think I would hire someone to look into it, and maybe send that person some love in the form of Arab Harem like call girls… but I digress.
Another no brainer was the fact that “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” was left off the list with the exception of Rooney Mara who I believe should get the Oscar for her portrayal of Lisbeth Salander. But for the movie itself I think it was way to rough and hard core for the Oscar granters, and unfortunately for a large amount of the American audience which is sad because “Dragon Tattoo” was the best movie I saw of all of 2011. While I knew the film wouldn’t get the top nod I am saddened that Fincher wasn’t. Hats off to him for not pulling any punches.
But no surprises with the likes of Clooney , or Pitt for that matter. One if not both always seem to be on that list time and time again. I did have a little Huh? moment when I saw Jonah Hill’s name on screen.
So here’s my picks for I want to see or think will win:
BEST DOCUMENTARY SHORT: Incident in New Baghdad

MUZAK
The rain sounded like muzak to Jon, as the fat drops hit the ground, against him, as he squatted next to Anna’s grave. Jon wasn’t sure if it was just his legs that had finally gave out or that the grief he felt every time he was here take over as he fell to his knees. Did matter? The answer was simple enough. And it was no.
Nobody understood why he still came here as much as he did. Anna having been gone over a year now. At first all of Jon’s friends were touched by his devotion to his late wife. But as the days and weeks and months passed by they failed to understand, thought it was unhealthy for him to keep going there -almost everyday. They tried to intervene, his friends. An intervention if you must. But when that failed Jon’s friends started to fall to the way side. Slowly at first, but once the first few were gone it was like a wave. All of them slipping away out to the proverbial see that was and is humanity.
But what Jon’s friends failed to understand was how much he had lost. It wasn’t just a wife but more of a wife, a lover, a best friend, and companion. Some one that was there when he went to bed and was there when he awoke. His life force.
The rain fell harder. Rolled off Anna’s head stone in little streams, plastered Jon’s hair to his head like some strange matted head dress. But he failed to see any of it; failed to feel any of it. All that was there was grief.
Tears filled Jon’s eyes again, as they did a hundred times a day. But like Anna, are lost when they start to flow down his cheeks. The rain, like life did with Anna, gobbling them up, erasing them from the world.
Jon took a deep breath that came out a loud sob as he sat up straight with as if he had a sense of urgency. Took another deep breath. And reached into his coat pocket.
The small, silver plated revolver (the same one that he bought Anna for protection when he was away. The same one that she took her life with) felt odd in his hand; felt heavy. The last time he had it in his hand was the day he bought it. The last time Jon had actually laid his eyes in it before today was when Carl had put it in the shoe box where he and Anna had kept it back in the closet where it stayed these long months. Jon had almost forgotten about it until he chanced by it. Deciding that maybe it was time to take his friends’ advice. To maybe start to move on. But as he was cleaning out the closet he shared with Anna of her clothes, fate had brought it all back.
Jon saw it as a sign.
The hammer clicked as it locked in place and Jon slowly brought it to bare at the side of his head.
A muffled POP rang out.
Becoming one with the surrounding muzak of life.

THANKS FOR THE FLOWERS
Sandy’s pussy squirted when she came; her juices flowed down the sides of her legs as Guy filled her with his hard cock. She moaned and grunted with his every thrust. Digging her nails into his back leaving long red lines. Some drawing blood. He raised up, pushing himself up on to his hands straining his forearm muscles as Sandy wrapped her legs around his waist, locking her ankles, afraid he might get away. But she had no reasons to worry. Guy having no intentions of trying to get away. Only to push deeper inside her.
Sandy was beginning to think that she was destined to be the other woman for the rest of her life as she saw who was on the other side of the door buzzer; Guy standing holding flowers -lilies, her favorite. Guy looked strange through the fish-eyed lens of the door’s peephole. She leaned her forehead against the door, unsure of what to do. Her mind said don’t answer, that it would only bring her pain and heartbreak. Again. But Sandy’s heart wouldn’t let her though.
God he looked good, she thought.
A thousand questions ran through her head: Why was he here? How the hell did he find me? Was he still married? Excreta. Excreta.
The buzzer sounded a second time, then a knock. He was about to give up. Move away, move on. Sandy could hear the desperation in his hand as it banged gently against the door. It was now or never. Did she answer and go back down that road, or does she let him leave? And in doing so finally move on with her own life?
“Don’t go,” she said to slowly a retreating figure in the hallway.
“I was afraid you…”
“Afraid of what? I wasn’t home?” She giggled, she couldn’t help herself. She felt giddy standing there in the doorway talking to her life’s one great love. Why was it that she couldn’t find someone without all the access baggage? “Or were you afraid that I didn’t want to see you? Or perhaps that I moved on?”
“I don’t know. Maybe everything. Maybe nothing. I was just… afraid. We didn’t leave things well the last time we saw each other.”
Sandy could remember the last time like it was yesterday, the pain still fresh. The cheap airport motel he rented; how itchy the course bed sheets felt on her back as they kissed. Guy’s hand moving across her breasts, down her stomach, in-between her legs. The thought of that almost took her breath away as she stood there. But then she remembered how it all ended: the tears, the broken promises. The sweet and tender apologizes. That mad dash from the room into a rainy night like some bad ending to a pulp novel. Hard to believe it had been five years. He had a fiancĂ© then. Now, she assumed, wife. She moved, physically. Twice. Tried to move on mentally. And when that didn’t work tried to fuck him out of her system with countless guys, girls. Whoever. And after a while it seemed to work. She didn’t think about him (as much), and when she did the pain wasn’t as bad. But now here he was. Standing in front of her. A memory made flesh. But was it the angel version she had of Guy or the devil? Did matter?
No. It didn’t
“Well, come on in.” Sandy opened the door all the way and stepped aside so he could enter. “We have a lot to catch up on.” That familiar sent as he walked by; the tingling her body made as his hand brushed against her arm. Sandy promised herself she’d be good. But she knew deep down it was for naught. “Are you still married?”
“Ah, the same old Sandy.”
“What? I think it’s a fair question.” The door shut harder that she intended, surprising not only her, but Guy. She leaned against the door, hands behind her back to keep them in check incase they decided to have a mind of their own.
Guy laughed. “I guess it is.” He sighed deeply. “So, yes, I’m still married. But truth be told, it’s a marriage of convenience, not of passion.” Guy quickly added. “I brought you flowers. Are lilies still your favorite?”
Sandy’s primal urge seemed to take over, the flowers fell to the floor and she was on him, pulling his lips to hers forcefully before she even knew that she had. Her other hand tore open his shirt, scratched at his chest, squeezed his nipples. Then Sandy dragged her nails down his stomach. She could feel his hardness through his jeans. Sandy pulled her lips from his; her hand from the back of his neck to concentrate on undoing his pants. Falling to her knees as she yanked them down. Guy gasped as Sandy clenched his cock in her hand, slowly stroking it as she looked at him greedily. Then she took him into her mouth. He almost exploded then and there as he grabbed onto the sides of her head, forcing her to slow. But then she would work her tongue around his shaft. Guy shuttered as he released into her mouth. It had been so long since he’d been this excited.
Sandy looked so young as she gazed up at him, gently kissing the head of his cock. “Now that we’ve had the appetizer, I think it’s time we move to the bedroom for the main course.”
Sandy took Guy on a carnal ride of all the things she had learned over the years of trying to forget him. The time of him being more knowledgeable of pleasures of the body were a thing of the past. And now that he had a taste of it, he didn’t want to let it go.
Guy fell next to her spent, covered in sweat and bodily secretions one could only get through sex. “God… damn…” he said, breathlessly. “I don’t remember it…quite like… that.”
Sandy was silent for a moment, catching her own breath. Then she said: “Yeah, well, I’ve learned a thing or two since you’ve been gone.”
Sandy got out of bed, and walked naked to the bathroom. Another thing Guy saw that was new. The Sandy before -his Sandy back when they were an under cover item- would never had done that. She was more of the cover up after sex type of girl, but this version of the Sandy he knew was much improved. And something he was going enjoy keeping around instead of the one night stand as he intentioned this to be. And Guy was about too say as much -whatever he needed to say to get her back, when Sandy called out from the other room:
“You know, Guy, I hate to a bitch, but I think you should go. You know how it goes: Places to go, people too see. But, hey, thanks for flowers.”

Some Hollywood Scuttlebutt for You to Digest
Recently I published a blog on my 2012 movies picks and today, strangely enough one of them hit with news.
From the looks of it, “World War Z” is going to be a trilogy. Do to the large amount of complaints the producers received that the movie was going to be nothing at all like the book other than in name and that there were zombies. I guess we’ll just see how it goes. But I think the “World War Z” would of made a better cable TV series. HBO and Showtime come to mind as the show would have to be of an R rating to be any good. Then the writers could take each individual story and make it an episode as it’s being related to Brooks who would be working for the UN’s Postwar Commission of the zombie event.
What ever the case I’m still on board for it.
In other news from the land of tinsel and glamour, the reboot of the “Evil Dead” series has started to make casting decisions. According to internet scuttlebutt, Lily Collins (“The Blind Side”, “Priest“) has been cast in the lead role as it now appears that the Ash character is now going to be female. With Collins’ character, Mia, closely resembles that of the one originally portrayed by Bruce Campbell.
I was never a big fan of this reboot (then I’m never a fan of any really) but when I heard that it was also being co-wrote by Diablo Cody (“Juno”) was really unsure about it. Not that I have anything against Cody, per say, but after the atrociousness that was “Jennifer's Body” I’m on the fence about her. I think that’ll be a wait for cable movie, unless someone either pays my way and more preferably gets me a bootleg. I don’t think I’ll feel to bad about that with the “Evil Dead” reboot.
And for the “Star Wars” geeks like myself it appears that the long talked about and longer awaited live action “Star Wars” television show has finally seems to have some legs.
Everyone’s favorite fat man, George Lucas‘ right hand man, Rick McCallum, himself announced that yes they are still looking to do one, now called “Star Wars: Underworld”, but as of when is still up in the air as they are trying to get the show’s cost down to around 5 million an episode.
That’s all I got so that’s all you’re gonna get. Until next time…
From the looks of it, “World War Z” is going to be a trilogy.

My 2012 Hopefuls. When It Comes To Movies That Is
After a lack luster year in movies that was 2011 we now put our hopes into 2012 and that means a whole new crop of movies I want to hopefully see. So here is my list of my 10 most wants-to-see in theaters.
The movies listed are in no particular order of desire or release date.
SKYFALL
The 23rd installment of the James Bond series.
The movie, supposedly picks up right where “Quantum of Solace” ends. Other than that I don’t know much of what the film is about. But it’s Bond and I’m a huge fan, and since the last two Daniel Craig outings I have highly enjoyed I have a feeling that this one I’ll highly enjoy receive as well.
WORLD WAR Z
Even though I’m pretty much zombied out on the whole Zombie movie, book, TV, comic ect, ect. I am, however, looking forward to this one. But from what I’ve gathered the movie is going to be greatly different from the book (no surprise there when it comes to Hollywood, right?). And what I have read is that it might even resemble a little of the “28 Days”, “Dawn of the Dead” look as in fast moving zombies. It seems that Brad Pitt’s character is now instead of gathering the oral history of the dark zombie days, he is now trying to stop the infection. Will see how this goes and while I’m sure -with Hollywood taking it’s usual liberties when it comes to making books into films- it is going to piss off all the die hard followers of the book. Hell, maybe the powers that be -as in Pitt’s production company- will be right doing with what they are going to do to the story. But in the end I have the feeling that the closest thing to the book will be the title of the movie.
THE DARK KNIGHT RISES
The last film in probably one of the greatest super hero trilogies ever we find Batman eight years removed from the events that took place in “The Dark Knight” where he ceremoniously took the responsibility for the deeds done by District Attorney, Harvey Dent after the accident that turned Dent into Two-Face. Now, upon his return, Batman must discover the truth regarding the enigmatic Selina Kyle (Hathaway) and her link to the terrorist Bane (Hardy) as he pushes Gotham City to it’s limits.
Nolan I guess wasn’t to sure that he was going to come back for a third installment but thankfully he did because I don’t think anyone else could of finished with vision of the whole Dark Knight series that Nolan has put forth. Nolan pulls from the well of Batman Mythology for this go around taking elements from the 1993 comic “Knightfall” as well as 1986’s “The Dark Knight Returns” and 1999’s “No Man’s Land”.
The only real gripe I have with this last film is that none of it was shot in Chicago where the previous two films were shot.
ABRAHAM LINCOLN: VAMPIRE HUNTER
Ah, yes. It’s nice to see Vampires back to doing what they do best: ripping people’s throats out and drinking their blood, and not that sparkly, angst-y, staring like two fucking retards over a cookie shit that we have been plagued with for the last few (long) years. This time around we find that the 16th President of the United States, Abraham Lincoln has a secret identity. That of vampire killer. A role Lincoln gladly excepts after his father reveals to him that not only are vampires real but they had actually killed his grandfather and mother. The film will follow Lincoln from childhood and into his beginnings as a politician and from their into the Presidency (where he meets Edgar Allen Poe) itself leading to his assignation.
RAVEN
Set in the final days of Edgar Alan Poe’s life, the famed author finds himself embroiled in a mystery wrapped around some of his greatest published works as someone is using his words to mirror their murders.
I’m really looking forward to this one as I’m a big Poe fan and his death at the ripe old age of 40 is still one of the greatest mysteries. John Cusack portrays the man who has spawned a thousand horror authors and from what I have heard really captures the essence that is Poe.
March can’t get here fast enough.
CHRONICLE
What do you get when you take the tired format of found footage/POV movie and add with an equally tired and much over down superhero genre? A pretty damn cool looking flick. That’s what.
Three high school friends somehow gain superpowers after they make some sort of discovery down a hole. Not much of a premise I know but what would do if the same thing happen when you were a teenager? Exactly.
Things seem to go from playful pranks as the three find that they are able to do amazing things, but as their powers grow so do the pranks right up to the point that they aren’t really that fun anymore as one of the group takes it to the next level.
As their lives begin to spin out of control so is the bond that combines them, bring them to the point of destruction.
Little bit “X-Men”, a little bit “Cloverfield”, And if Max Landis is anything like his father, John (American Werewolf in London) Landis “Chronicle” should be wild ride.
PROMETHEUS
To say the Ridley Scott is the master of his craft would be an understatement. And when I heard that he was going to do a prequel to “Alien” in no way did think it would suck. Then I started researching the plot, and… from what I have read it’s a little muddled. Not saying I don’t get what he wants to do, but with everything that suppose to go on in “PROMETHEUS” I’m not sure it can be done in just one film. The plot sounds like in could be at least two movies if not an entire new trilogy. But hey, it’s Ridley Scott. The guy that gave us “Blade Runner”.
In case you don’t know the premise for PROMETHEUS” it goes as follows:
The film itself revolves around the Space Jockey creature; as seen in the original film “ALIEN” (1979). When the team of scientists embark on this journey, they get stranded on an Alien world which tests their limits; both mental and physical.
PROMETHEUS” is also largely based on the creation of mankind, life and the Earth. From the recent synopsis publicly released by 20th Century Fox, we can determine roughly that Prometheus involves a team of scientists, "The Company" representatives and robot / synthetics which investigate and search for keys to unlock man's ultimate mystery. But in the process, they threaten the future existence of mankind and are faced with unimaginable horrors.
The Aliens themselves are said to be much larger than the original "Xenomorphs" we are used to. However, their overall construction will be easily noticeable to that of the original Alien canon.
What ever the case I’m sure I’ll dig the flick. Even if most probably won’t
THE CABIN IN THE WOODS
The tagline to this movie is to funny: “If you hear a strange sound outside… have sex”
At first I thought we were going to get the same old same old when it comes to horror movies: Young twenty somethings head out for a weekend of fun and cum at a cabin only to find that bad things happen to them once they are there. But after seeing both the poster and the trailer this time it appears that isn’t going to be the whole case.
SILENT HOUSE
Again we find Hollywood going down the remake path when it comes to when they make movies. And while I am not a huge fan of the remake/reboot genre, some have been well done. So after viewing the trailer for this one and how it’s suppose to be one continuous shot with all the events happening in real time I found myself quite intrigued. That and the fact that this movie is directed by “Open Water’s” Chris Kentis.
“Silent House” takes place it was can be considered a ‘self contained’ haunted house and the entire events that take place in the movie unfold in the 86 minute running time and follows Sarah (Olsen) as she helps her father and uncle as they fix up the old family home in hopes for a quick sale. There’s no power or cell phone reception and more unfortunately for Sarah, her father is over controlling and very bossy where as her uncle is the more over friendly type and likes to leer when she’s around. So Sarah finds that she has to tread carefully around the two especially when she doesn’t understand the tension that surrounds the two brothers. It is a dynamic character between the three as the movie progresses and old memories start to emerge.
DJANGO UNCHAINED
We all know what Quentin Tarantino has done for the Grindhouse style of film making because it seems that every other film that goes straight to DVD is of that genre. So how about the Spaghetti Western? Does it need to be resurrected from the past. Well, no matter what your opinions are about it, pro or con, because it’s coming in the form of “Django Unchained”.
Deep in the South of the 1850’s, dentist turned bounty hunter, King Schultz (Waltz) buys a slave by the name Django (Fox) and uses him to aid in finding bounties. After a successful ride in the carrier of hunting humans for profit, Schultz grants Django his freedom who then hones his bounty hunting skills further with the help of his one time owner until he feels that he is ready to return to the state of Mississippi to find and free his slave wife, Broom Hilda (Washington), from the brutal plantation owner, Calvin Candie (DiCaprio). But of course something doesn’t go to plan (of course, other wise we wouldn’t have a movie, right?) causing to find himself fighting for his life, wife, and to seek vengeance upon the Francophile, Candie.
Where as I was a huge fan of Waltz in Tarantino’s “Inglorious Bastards” I wasn’t so much a fan of the film as I was hoping more that Tarantino was going to follow along the lines of the original Italian/American version of the 70’s. And with “Django Unchained” I’m hoping for Tarantino to go back with what made him famous as a director where he interceded the witty dialogue with the violence instead of just loads and loads of his style of writing that “Bastards” only was. While I do enjoy the way Tarantino writes his dialogue it can be a little over indulgent. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
On the fence about:One movie I thought I would really clambering to see was the new Rob Zombie movie “Lords of Salem” But the more I read about the film the more I’m not to sure what it’s going to be.
The movies listed are in no particular order of desire or release date.

“Wisconsin Death Trip” News
Ah, yes. Bad news for what was suppose to be what I was going to film this year (2012).
I had slated filming my script for “Wisconsin Death Trip” for the late winter early spring (2012) as I was still polishing up the final draft and getting players interested. But now the location that I had primarily had written for the entire second and most of third act has been nicely torn down by the great state of Illinois. Bulldozed and razed to the ground; paved over and made into a semi-truck parking area.
While I didn’t think the place was going to last past the summer of 2012 I was thinking that it wouldn’t be until the summer when anything would happen. Especially since the junk yard that was attached to the property and buildings still had quite a bit of shit strewn throughout it just a few weeks ago.
Now I looking to rewrite at least half of the script, I already have an idea of where to go with it. Will post more when things start to happen.
Until then…
