Farrah Abraham: The Kim Jung-Un of Reality TV?

When Farrah Abraham, like the retarded North Korean Dictator, Kim Jung-Un, speaks people only half listen. And when she is done they just shake their heads and laugh. (As in the her latest attempt to keep her irrelevant self somehow relevant in the minds of the pop-culture world: Her “so-called” sex tape.) And that is the problem [Farrah] Abraham faces. Something she doesn’t like one bit.

Taking a page from other pop-culture nightmares in the likes of Kim Kardashian and Paris Hilton (just to name two) who gained fame and notoriety with their own sex tapes, Farrah [Abraham] looks to want to try one as well. The problem is that, while the others who make tapes of the sexual adventures they partake in, usually make them with the thought of it never seeing the light of day (or so they say), she [Farrah] made hers with the full intention of it being “leaked” to the media. First it was played off that there wasn’t a tape. Hell, even her mom weighing in saying that her daughter wasn’t that type of person. Only to have those words thrown back into her face. Especially when sex tape co-star, Porn Actor James Deen got cornered by TMZ and he pretty much said that it was all a giant production.

It has been a long and challenging career path Abraham has been on. First she appeared on Mtv’s 16 and Pregnant when she learned that she got knocked up by her, then, boyfriend. And where the other would be parents on that show fought with their baby-daddies, Abraham’s was deceased. Her sob story garnered her to appear on Mtv’s next installment: Teen Mom. Both programs showed the daily hardships of being a parent. And where, like before in 16 and Pregnant, Farrah rose above the idiocy that the other cast brought down about themselves, Abraham was the more responsible one; acting like a real parent. But by this time it seems that Abraham had caught the glitz-bug of the showbiz life. And when the show wrapped last August, it seemed that her career had wrapped as well as she fell to the wayside of things as her co-stars of the show made the rounds of the tabloid mag world with their exploits in inanity. Even though, still playing the good girl card, Abraham not only released a book entitled My Teenage Dream Ended she did what most pop-reality-stars do: put out a music video for a song that she wrote and recorded. When that seemed to be a quick flash in the pan Abraham came out with a pasta sauce. Which then lead to bikini modeling. But like many other wannabes her age, Farrah Abraham’s star just didn’t want to stay lit.

Feeling the sting of irrelevancy at the much benign age of 21, Abraham has now followed suit with her co-stars. First of which: late night lingerie parties at bars, making out with other girls. Then the DUI. All of which had her front page on TMZ. Although she fought that her actions were nothing. The DUI was a mistake the cops made because she was just moving the car from one parking space to another, and the whole party girl atmosphere was being taken completely out of context. Then the rumors of the tape. Of how it wasn’t true. That is until the “great woman, mother and entrepreneur” (Abraham’s quote. Not mine.), who, confesses that she made the tape for pure “personal viewing pleasure when she is older... so that she will have her best years to look back on”, dropped it that she was willing to part with it for a cool 2 million.

Nicole Clark, media activist and director of the documentary Cover Girl Culture stated that society has taught this young woman and many others that “shock and awe” gets attention. [Nicole] Clark goes on to say, “that being a sex object is highly valued by our culture. We reward immature and trashy behavior... glaze over and ignore those who are making a positive difference in our world. It is a sad reflection that many girls have learned from our society, over which Hollywood has a huge influence...

Clark is right to say it is sad. Especially when there is an entire new generation being raised not only by TV, but by parents that look at these individuals on these programs as something to be admired. When in truth all of them are far from it. But like I have stated before in other posts on this subject, people like Farrah Abraham or that of, say, Jersey Shore’s Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, lend me all the fodder I need for some of my fiction writing (or that of Blogging). Because, in truth, I love to write these types of characters. It is just too much fun.

Mtv Needs to Go Back to Videos

As Helen of Troy launched a 1000 ships Mtv can lay claim that they have launched a 1000 careers in their day both deserving and semi deserving. However, of late, the channel whose “M” stood for MUSIC instead of MORON has now deemed themselves worthy to launch careers for people that surely have no need to be famous whatsoever.

Cases in point, we can turn to those lovely people of “16 & Pregnant” and their follow up show “Teen Mom” that were suppose to show how hard it was to be a young parent. Except that they spawned a whole new generation of stupid teenagers that thought this how they can quickly become famous as pop-culture media followed the exploits of these so-called stars as they went out and found idiocy in all forms of having more children with their idiot partner that fathered their first or found more people to father children with, to DUI’s, to these personalities partying it up at some club while telling the media that reports it that they are somehow wrong and that they are good parents.

And in the latest case for bad decisions for Mtv, in their race to fill the void of idiocy from the departing “Jersey Shore” -because somehow we need more Snookies & JWows in our daily life- Mtv skipped past the vetting part of the process for their awesome show “Buckwild” where we get to see moronic hillbillies in action down at the swimin’ hole in the shadow of a nuclear reactor, fighting over who was fucking who, and seeing the outback townies go off to the BIG CITY like they were animals on display at the zoo. First off we had the drug arrest of Salwa Amin for felony drug possession a week after Mtv said that they were going forth with a second season (Salwa ironically is now back in jail for violating the terms of her release). And now just today (April 1st 2013) we are seeing reports of the show’s main star Shain Gandee, hours after he was reported missing, has been found dead. He was last seen heading out of a bar to go off roading with his uncle who has also been identified by authorities deceased along with a third person. Foul play in this case is NOT expected.

The fate of the show is not known at this time nor is what is next for the ex-video now creator of dumb pop-culture channel. But I am sure it will just as populated by stupid people. But, hell, I am ALL for it. It gives me plenty of fodder to write about both in real life & fiction. So, actually, I should be saying thanks.

The Generation of the F*#ktarded & the Rise of the Twitterite

Social Media is like the Wild West except now it’s in the form of the modern age. But it still seems that it is almost the same type of atmosphere of an anything goes policy and a way to look at things. Instead of gunslingers and prospectors and the like walking along dusty roads we now have gunslingers in the form of “cyberbullies”, prospectors in the form of “ad space” & and wannabe Mad Men marketers, all populated by the world around them. As the “Mtv Generation” gave birth to the “Twitterite Generation”, many from that former generation seemed to want & did change the world. And like the “Hippie Generation” that gave birth to “Mtv’ers” it wasn’t for the better.

Many believed that the “Mtv’ers” were to hold nothing sacred, as we [they] chased the next fun time or high or whatnot, supposedly “mimicking” the things we saw in those “rock” music videos as if they were somehow real. Because back in the 80s music videos were going to be the downfall of western civilization. Hell, they even made documentary about it titled just that. Back then, Mtv was our social media outlet. You were looked on as odd if you didn’t know who were the popular VJ’s -as the hosts had become to be known- were; that you hadn’t yet seen the latest “Guns & Roses” (“GNR” for those “in the know”) video. Now, ironically Mtv no longer plays music. The videos now replaced with the awesome antidotes of the “Jersey Shore” & “Buckwild” & the like. Reality TV rules the day & a large part of that is thanks to Mtv. (another bit of irony is when it was started the “M” in Mtv stood for “music”. Now it’s just a “M”). But as the “adults” that had to deal with the “Mtv’ers” & their strange cultural ways almost the same can be said about the “Twitterites”, what was said about the one that gave birth to them. That they are exactly that: a generation where nothing is held sacred. Only now when you ask about who and what is in the know, it has to be plastered, uploaded on the interweb. It’s only really cool if it ends up there for all the world to see. That you are nothing or it didn’t happen unless it is posted on some social media site. The more sites the better, meaning if said “post” keeps popping up over and over (going “viral” as the hipsters say) then the more popular you are. Because we have raised a generation that not only expects to be famous but deserves to be famous, regardless of what they do. Keep in mind that each and every generation has dealt with same looked upon disdain from their older & supposedly wiser counterparts. But this time around the case can almost be made that teenagers of today might just be as stupid as we think them to be. Well, maybe not just teenagers. There are plenty of  “Adults” that are as stupid as we perceive them to be as well.

Now I’m not just talking about FACEBOOK, or TWITTER, or YOUTUBE or any of the other thousand other sites. Just look at porn. The rise of wannabe fame whores (both male & female) has no qualms about uploading their sexual acts. Whether it’s Spring Break parties (This is where we have to thank Joe Francis and his “Girls Gone Wild” franchise) or just good times wherever. If you do a quick Google search for porn you’ll easily find a plethora of sites that will show dumbass, drunk college people getting naked and fucking their what little brains they have left out. Add on top of that, these sites are quite popular. So there will be no shortage of coed fuck sites to choose from any time soon. Now am I saying that they are bad? No. Of course not. Although, I am not saying that they are good either. I am against censorship of any kind, and when it comes to adults (people over the ripe old age of 18) you know how the world works and should have enough common sense not to put yourself out there. But in reality it’s the exact opposite.

Now though... now we have the likes of stupidity coming from towns like Steubenville (well that’s not entirely true. We also have places like Torrington too). I mean, what the fuck. A) what retard thoought it was okay that to say: “yeah, she’s drunk as hell. Lets fuck her” and B) “hey, lets do one better and video it.” The realm of stupidity from these “Two young men with promising futures” as stated by CNN (Nevermind that Trent Mays or Ma’lik Richmond thought it wise to take advantage of someone that was passed out), how they have now thrown their lives away. Oh, yeah. They raped somebody. The fucking idiots that defend these stupid motherfuckers have actually gone out and said that they didn’t realize what they were doing was wrong. That they didn’t know that it was rape because they live this sheltered life and they didn’t realize that this was wrong. Really? Can anyone possibly say at their age that they don’t know what rape is? Let’s get a little serious here. They and the assholes that taped it ALL KNEW WHAT THEY WERE DOING WAS WRONG. The reason I can say this with definite proof is that all those TWEETS that were posted about all miraculously disappeared from the their accounts. And yes, they all posted about it, even the 12 minute video of the actual rape. It was put out for the simple reasons that I had stated before: because people today (it’s not just the youth) seem to have to out their every bowel movement on social media. Like somehow they wouldn’t exist otherwise. Hell, maybe you shouldn’t.

And when I say it’s not just the youth of today, I mean it’s not just the youth today. I have had personal experiences with “adults” that act like their teenage kids. Arguing about the dumbest shit posible on FACEBOOK with kids. Acting like those kids as they argue. It just boggles my mind on how many people in this world have FAILED to move on from high school.

Case in point: Steubenville. AGAIN.

We have come to see an age where parents want to be friends with their children; adults who refuse to grow up. Instead, still living out the glory days of high school youth. What the fuck is that about. Have we become so desensitized, and fear growing up that we need to relive those days vicariously through our children & the “Twitterite Generation? Act like we had it somehow so bad that, that our parents were such douche-bags, that we need to make every girl a princess and every boy that plays sports a god damn god (the sports thing, however, varies from place to place depending in what part of the country you in. In other parts of the country we see pageants or parents try to turn their kids into some kind of star. But you get the point). Not only that, but we all somehow deserve some dickhead reality show. Now with the case of Steubenville, as I have researched about it, I see that Football is its own brand of religion there. That every boy from the “right” side of the tracks wants to become the next High School Football Star (be part of what they call “Big Red”). High School Football is such a religion in Steubenville that even the adults still live out those glory days that I talked about already. As they refer to themselves as #steubenvillestarsforlife. That mentality is rather frightening in my book. I have seen cults act the same way. Especially when you speak out against them. As people are now. Only to be attacked by our modern day gunslingers that troll the social media. Nevermind that this girl was raped. No. She deserved it they say because she was so drunk. So it’s okay then because this girl was too drunk to say “no, please don’t rape me” that these privileged boys should be allowed to do whatever it is they want. That her being raped was, eh, a misunderstanding on HER part. Not only that, but, hey, lets put it all on the web. Like I said there is a 12 minute video floating around out there of people cheering on the retards that ASSAULTED this girl. And lets not forget all the wonderful TWEETS (because remember: Things don’t happen in life unless it is on SOCIAL MEDIA) talking about how this girl looked dead. About peeing on her. About “you don’t sleep through a wang in the buthole.” Classy.

I know I am getting repetitive here about the TWEETING and the RAPE. But I want to make sure that my point gets across. Because it appears that this type of behavior not only seems to be spreading like a plague around the country but there also seems to be something of a cover up going on. As this appears to be an ongoing tragedy when the layers of shit are peeled away from the surface.

We have to ask ourselves who is really at fault? In no way am I saying that Trent Mays or Ma’lik Richmond should not be punished. Actually I think they got off pretty fucking lightly, with their 1 and 2 year Juvenile Sentences. If it were my daughter that part might have played out differently. And I’ll just leave it at that.

In the end I believe that we as a whole are a large part of the problem. We allow this to happen. But in no way am I advocating our lives being taken over by the likes of Mayor Bloomberg or VP Biden as they have gotten on their high horses over the Sandy Hook tragedy. No. A nanny state run by assholes is nothing we need. What we do need is to teach a little common sense in the world that is sorely lacking common sense. Give the next generation the tools to take on and combat this type of bullshit. Again I am NOT ADVOCATING violence. But this turn the other cheek and tell an adult is about as useless as fuck all. Especially when hear things about how teachers and coaches know about some of these things, how cops along with them turn the blind eye when it comes to the those like the “Big Red” crew. Because those boys & girls have such a bright future ahead of them. God forbid they derail themselves with their own stupidity.

Until next time...

Generation F*cktard

Hunter S. Thompson proclaimed the 1980s to be the “Generation of Swine” assuming that the US social landscape was populated by greed and immortality of the obscene; Where Hunter Thompson saw “brainless freaks”, “money-sucking animals” and “greed crazed lunatics” this generation is made up of half-wits, inane no-doers; a generation that thinks that they are special for doing pretty much nothing. Just believing that since they are born they need to be followed. We have replaced our Hemingways, Brandos, and Einsteins with a new crop of “not-so-reality” stars the likes of which include Snookie, Jwow, and the Honey Boo-Boo clan. (And lets not forget Mtv’s new awesomeness of mental fucktards whose swimming hole is in the shadows of a nuclear power plant.) A generation shat forth from frothy vaginas of the swine that became over-barring soccer moms hell-bent on making sure that their crass little spawns did not have to do anything other than be famous. Because we all need to be famous, right? Never mind any of that being creative, or that of talent, or intelligence. No you just have to be able to video yourself doing the most moronic thing possible and not die, make funny monkey noises as you roll around drunk on the floor, or, hell, just make a sex tape with someone sort of kind of famous. Then sell it to TMZ and E!. The latter of which will more than likely give you your own television show. If not then there is always Mtv.

So it sort of surprised me that when El President-aye Obama, in his Inauguration Speech, said that this was this generation’s task to carry on what the pioneers began. Really, President Obama? Have you not laid eyes on the so-called role models that plague this generation? I know you are not that secular of a person, hidden away and only surrounded by cherry picked people. Hell, some of these idiots where actually part of your campaign.

I am not saying that this entire generation is completely made of up brainless retarded zombies. Not at all. I know that there are plenty of people that are talented, and creative, and smart. While some do break out from under the pile of shit of society’s fucktarded, we do not like to prop up most of them. As it is much easier to sit back and watch the carousel of clusterfuck that is “The Real Housewives of Whatever”, “Dance Moms”, and the ever awesome “Bad Girls Club”. Just to name a few.

Lance Armstrong’s Doping Ruined Sports is like Saying Gays Ruin Marriage

Well last night Oprah had it. The Big Story. The Big Reveal. The one that had Lance Armstrong finally coming clean about his doping during his time as a professional cyclist where he won an astonishing 7 titles in the Tour De France (1999-2005). His excuse was his drive to win and that it was a level playing field, everyone was doing it. And actually Lance is not far off from the truth.

In the years of Armstrong’s run at the Tour Title there were 94 cases of doping (not including Armstrong) in cycling. (1999-5 cases; 2000-5 cases; 2001-12 cases; 2002-15 cases; 2003-13 cases; 2004-22 cases; 2005-22 cases) And those are the ones caught. To say there is more might be a stretch but it is possible that when Armstrong testifies (and yes he is going too. Why else go on Oprah and talk about doping if he did not want to compete again in sports). But as it seems that Armstrong was the crème de la crème when came to passing dope tests, however I am banking on one or two more big names falling. But if we want to put it in a real contents, the number of cases almost double from 22 in 2005 to 42 in 2006. And by that time Lance Armstrong was done with cycling and had retired. So I say again: Armstrong is not far off from the truth.

And while the 2000s for cycling is going to looked at as the 90s were fo baseball and the steroid debate and use where we saw a number on top ranked players fall from grace or had their images and legacies tarnished forever by being linked to steroid use. Many of the players, while they beat the probes into their lives, are still being punished today and being excluded from the Hall of Fame. In fact doping has been an issue in sports since people found a way to make money at playing them. The Olympics for decades has been dealing with the fact of doping. Some of it done by the actual country that the puts forth their athletes. (East Germany anyone? And lets not forget North Korea or China). On a side note we are going to have to face the fact the NFL (National Football League) allows quite a bit of doping to go on the sidelines during the game. They say that they (NFL) are make strides into making the game safer for the athletes that play the game but the league allows actual doctors on the sidelines to administer pain meds to players so they can get back on the field. And if we are serious about wanting to rid doping from sports and make the games that are played safer then that is something that is going to have to be discussed.

In the end Lance Armstrong has done nothing that has not been going on for years. He did not ruin the sport of cycling or sports at all for that matter. He is just another scapegoat in a long line of scapegoats with many more to come in the realm of the sports world. Because sports today are driven by the almighty dollar. And tougher, faster, stronger athletes are going to be the most sought after even if they think that they might be doping. Just don’t get caught is the motto of sports today. That and we are going have to figure out one day that these people are not role models. Sure many do something good; give back to the community so to say. But many do not. Many are just thugs and assholes And besides, it is just a game.

To say that Lance Armstrong (and people like him) have and are ruining sports is as about as ridiculous as saying that gay people marrying is and will ruin the sanctity of marriage. Because lets face it. They have not. Sorry. We all have a hand in it whether you like it or not.

For They Who Shout the Loudest

I came across a post on FACEBOOK while wasting time (one of the main things FACEBOOK is best known for) of Glenn Beck with Tagline of: “Glenn Beck: Obama Destined for Prison.” It is of a video from back in October of Beck laying out the case for treason made by Obama against the United States with what happened in Benghazi, Libya, and that he was citing supposed evidence that slain Ambassador Stevens was in fact had been helping arm Arab Spring Protesters and Rebels in Libya and Syria. Many of whom are believed to be linked to terrorist groups such as al Qiada.

Okay. Here is the problem (other than is Beck is an idiot): No sitting President or former sitting President is going to EVER got to Prison (life is not the TV show “24“). Just look at Richard Nixon. The best you ever going to get is maybe an impeachment. And no I do not think that Obama is going to be impeached either. If we do find out that he lied about what went on and what he and his Cabinet knew and when, would it be such a surprise? Because if we have learned anything in the last couple of decades is that the real definition of the word Politician is that it means: person or persons that lie a lot; about everything at all times.

Then we come to the problem of today’s version of what Journalism is suppose to be and what it has unfortunately turned into because of the 24 hour News Cycle that anyone can access at anytime. I mean never mind checking sources and getting facts straight before airing something when you can just retract and apologize for it latter. This also why we get people like Beck and Chris Mathews and Bill O’Reilly and Ann Coulter and the likes of Piers Morgan -just to name a few. These self imposed people of importance that grandstand on the soapbox of whatever hot potato topic of the day is beating the drum idiocy for all those that listen. Today’s version of journalism and the news media has taken on the role of Town Crier and of whom can shout the loudest is the one that is obviously right and not that of the ones with the correct facts. Because it has all become about the ratings. And ratings means money and that is all these fucktards seem to see.

Catch you on the flip side…

Guns & Morons In America: Who Needs Real Facts When There is a Soapbox

You have to love the NRA & Wayne LaPierre in general saying that Joe Biden and his “Task Force” on GUN CONTROL did not wan to listen to anything he [LaPierre] or his organization [NRA] had to say. I mean, who thinks that the Democrats are even worried about writing any new laws? Because, like the new health care (Obamacare) laws were, they are already written. They have just been sitting around (like versions of Obamacare) in someone’s drawer somewhere waiting for the right President, Congress, & events to take place. This committee all just a dog and pony show for us.

I do not want to come as a wild eye conspiracy theorist like that of Alex Jones. Because again lets face the facts: the only reason that fool saw the light of day on the Piers Morgan Show was because he is a raving lunatic. And he proved Morgan’s point that he wanted to make that most GUN OWNERS and those apposed to any new laws on guns are crazy. (I have to go on side note here and say what a 2 faced asshole Piers Morgan actually is. Yesterday (01/10/2013) Morgan was on the CBS Morning Show being interviewed by Charlie Rose and [Piers] Morgan told him that: “I don’t want to take an American’s Right away to defend him or herself in their home or defend their family. That is a sacred right and I understand that and respect it.” However on his own show Piers Morgan said to Larry Pratt the Executive Director of Guns of America on the very same issue and thing that he [Morgan] himself said on The CBS Morning Show about how he understood and respected it, Morgan said to him [Pratt]: “You are an unbelievably stupid man aren’t you?” So which is it, Mr. Morgan? Do you respect my sacred right (your words) on being able to defend my home with a firearm or am I a stupid man for wanting to have that (sacred) right? But I digress.) So now gun owners are painted out as clowns and nuts (thank you Alex Jones). And the NRA (LaPierre in general) has not helped that one bit. Other that to help prove the point of Piers Morgan. Do we need armed guards in schools? No. The fact is that out of the supposed 10,000 plus gun violence victims a year the percentage of school shootings is actually quite low. And in the last 22 years (from 1980-2012) there were 137 deaths contributed to school shootings (SLATE). While, yes, that is horrible and WAY to high a number but compare to ALL the other violence that is taking place in schools I think that the last thing to worry about is a school shooting. Especially in an affluent (WHITE) neighborhood.

CNSNews.com sourced The Department of Education & the Department of Justice saying that of the school year 2009-2010 (the latest stats released) there were 1,183,700 violent crimes in or schools (73.8% of all public schools). These crimes include rape (600 cases), sexual battery (3,600 cases), physical attack (fight) with and without a weapon (a weapon can be considered anything that is used to attack or defend with)(14,600 cases), threat of physical attack with or without a weapon (19,200 cases), and robbery with or without a weapon. I think that we have much more to fear for our children than school shootings. But we never here these stats about our schools and our children’s safety because the Biden Task Force or that of the news media, sensational soap box grandstanders the likes of Piers Morgan do not wan to push any other agenda other than gun control. In fact since 1990 the FBI reports that crime is actually down 50% in the United States.

Feel free to watch the video that not only outlines violent crime in America but also provides stats for the United Kingdom (Great Britain) (Piers Morgan’s home country) as well. I am in no way affiliated with the makers of the video.

I fail to see why it is my fault as a legal gun owner that I have to be punished for someone else’s short comings. But I do think there should a little better system in place. And with states wanting to give rights to the conceal and carry laws I think people should have to take a gun safety and gun knowledge class. Add on a CQC (Close Quarters Combat) class for anyone wishing a conceal/carry permit. This all goes on top of background checks that are already in place. Again lets be real. I know there are plenty that think that if there was at least one person in the audience for the Aurora Colorado Theater shooting there would be less dead. Not exactly true. It takes a lot for a “normal” person (and when I mean normal, I mean normal. Someone that isn’t or hasn’t been shot at) to react to a firefight. Especially in a dark theater with people running and screaming. Now add 2 or 3 extra guns in the mix in untrained hands and the death toll more than likely rises. Not only that but you will probably have a firefight between 2 people that are actually trying to prevent what is happening.

It is time to bring a little common sense back to us all.
